The tilting-pad journal bearing mainly bears radial load, it also can bear certain impact loads and imbalance loads. It is mainly used for centrifugal blower, high-speed centrifugal compressor, steam turbine, turbo-generator and other rotating machinery.The tilting-pad journal bearing is made of double-layer composite. The low carbon steel composite layers of matrix are made of Babbitt alloy. The pad of the bearing fixes the pad on the matrix by axial radial positioning. It ensures the pad can form oil wedge after inclining freely under the effect of rotational speed and loads according to the design of proper appearance structure and high precision processing.
